The 10-year anniversary tour continues, this time bringing you some highlights from the tri-state area.
- 2007 -
Originally from Pennsylvania, we'd been living in New Jersey since we got married and found ourselves in Central Jersey by 2006. The great thing about New Jersey (and there are many great things, despite what "reality" TV may lead you to believe), is that it's nestled in a great location in the Northeast between NYC and Philly.
In the NYC subway, visiting for N's birthday. I promise you that the duck face had not gained in popularity yet. |
In addition to the city attractions, the Jersey coastline is beautiful, and we've spent many days vacationing in South Jersey - a popular tourist destination just an hour from our apartment. My family spent an entire week in Ocean City, NJ in the summer of 2007, and it is still one of my favorite vacations to date.

Movie night at the theater. I swear I used to get more tan in Jersey than I do now in Cayman. |
In 2007, we also did some volunteering with our church's youth group. When 70's Night rolled around, we were up to the challenge.
If you know my Dad, you'll understand that my pose is completely genetically ingrained. |
I don't know if we'll ever live in New Jersey again, but I will say we've shared a lot of memories in and around the state, and I'm pretty glad we called it "home" for the first seven years of our marriage.
I was happy to have met you and worked with you in Sunday School in NJ! :)
